Metadata Scheme of the Virtual Library Middle East/North Africa

Abridged version of the German scheme

Notes:

The Metadata Scheme of our Virtual Library is based on the Dublin Core Metadata Element Set. All categories relating to the DCMES start with DC. Other elements were agreed upon between the Virtual Libraries Project Partners, they start with VMES. In addition, there are special elements developed by the SSG FI Projects at the Lower Saxony State and University Library Göttingen , which are used in the Virtual Library Middle East/North Africa as well. As a mark for these elements we use the abbreviation MENALIB / SSG FI.
